See More... She’s a sultry beauty, a doting new mom, and an Oscar-winning actress -- and now, Halle Berry has been named Esquire magazine’s Sexiest Woman Alive 2008! Halle speaks out about the flattering new title in her written acceptance speech.

“I’ve picked up a little over the years,” Halle writes. “Sexy is not about wearing sexy clothes or shaking your booty until you … get hip dysplasia; it’s about knowing that sexiness is a state of mind -- a comfortable state of being. It’s about loving yourself even in your most unlovable moments.”

The talented beauty also jokes about the timing of her new title, saying that as a 42-year-old new mom, she’s happy to take the honor!

She then tells readers what is sexy to her, like eating spaghetti off the tips of a man’s fingers.

Other things she finds sexy: wine, lingerie, men’s forearms, and the smell of her man's car!

  • I actually get Esquire magazine, and besides the hundreds of ads and the magazines' obvious (paid) support of $1000 clothing lines, it has some good literature. I don't care how much money you have, if you pay a grand for some cotton you're an idiot.

    On topic, she's definitely a beautiful woman, but she's by far NOT the sexiest woman alive. I saw the cover and I thought for sure I was misreading it, but when I opened it it turned out to be true. The Esquire writers apparently think her the sexiest woman alive.

    Call me crazy, I actually think this was arranged by Halle Berry. They do a little excerpt every month of 3-4 pages called, "Women We Love." That's all this article is, but apparently this month she's the sexiest woman alive. I'll disregard the past few months where all the women were better looking than she was.

    This is the same woman who got paid a few hundred G's to show her breasts. She thinks very highly of herself.

  • I think they mean the hottest american female celebrity over the age of 40. There are lots of people hotter than her in Hollywood alone, Alba, Paris, Jolie just to name a few.
