Pagegate is a wireless messaging server application, that can send SMS and text messages to pagers, mobile phones, PIMs and other wireless devices. It can accept messages from many different sources, including networked computers running the PageGate Windows Client program, email messages, web pages and executables (command line). It can also accept from text files that are scanned for messages as well as serial ports or modems that receive textual data. PageGate supports SNPP, WCTP, and SMTP protocols and messages can also be delivered via modem using TAP, UCP, GSM and touch Tones. Messages can also be delivered directly to a terminal or encoder via a direct serial (RS232) connection. PageGate is scalable for high-end/high-throughput applications and supports up to 16 simultaneous connections. Additional features include redundant outbound connections, message rerouting, real-time monitoring, centralized management and more.

Digital Memo is a simple software that enables you to notify network clients of new blog entries in your personal or company RSS blog. In order to receive the message, the user must have the desktop client running, which you can configure and distribute. The news messages can be very easily designed and sent from a visual interface, that requires no technical knowledge. The program includes a web server, however it can be used with any existing web server, without the need to install anything. Unfortunately Internet NewsWire only offers poor documentation and support for distribution of the client, so while it works nicely, it can be a problem to distribute, unless you want to compile your own installer, write documentation etc. or only use it in a limited environment.
