Darkfall Gameplay Video

We're releasing the first Darkfall gameplay video today. We pieced it together from in-game footage taken during internal testing. We hope you enjoy it.

I have to say that the game's world is absolutely gorgeous. The combat system seems a little iffy though, but I really can't wait to see more of this game. You can grab the movie for yourself off the official site.

EQII - Erollisi Day – “The Essence of Romance”

Gemima Gearshifter hated venturing into the Commonlands, but this trip was necessary. As part of her research into the decay of autonomic floogisterons, she needed to sample some of the soil in which they were found. Floogisterons were sometimes used as substitutes for grease, making it imperative that she understand how long it took them to wear out.

WoW - Love Is In The Air

Something is in the air in the major cities of Azeroth. Some call it love, and some just call it friendship and admiration. Whichever it is, many guards and townsfolks now spend their days giving and receiving tokens and gifts to other amorous citizens. The more skeptical, however, are suspicious of the strange "love sickness" clouding the hearts of so many...

Shadowbane - Need help, you dirty thief?

Thief, Master Burglar. Such a general statement for a class that is so often underplayed, and on the rare occasions it is used, often ends up ganking lowbies. It doesn't have to be this way, but few people have the ambition, the creativity, or the reflexes to play the class at its full potential. You have in your arsenal some of the most powerful abilities in the game. Your success with them is limited only by your desire to succeed and your ability to think outside of the sometimes tunnel visioned playstyle of some other characters. By the time I'm done with you, you will perhaps be prepared to head out into Aerynth and take what is rightfully yours; everything. On many occasions I am asked why I play a thief. "You can't effect this game at all" they say. However, this is far from the truth. I play a thief because it gives me the ability to control almost any situation.

EQ2 - New Character Progression

Rather than working your way through 20 levels before choosing your subclass, you'll be selecting your final class at level 1 during character creation. There are now two uniquely good or evil islands instead of the Isle of Refuge, known as Queen's Colony and Outpost of the Overlord. Your chosen race's village or district in Qeynos or Freeport will involve you more in the lore of that particular race. Additionally, new quests and adventures await in the Adventure Yards surrounding your home city.

There is a lothere.

John Romero developing an MMO?

According to Romero (who says he loves MMOs), the game he's working on is "very different from any other MMO for some special reasons." Precisely what those special reasons are, he wouldn't elaborate. He did, however, admit that funding for the project is lurking in the many millions of dollars bracket. "It's a lot of money, this is the most money I've ever spent on a game - in Gauntlet it was like $10 million, but this is much more," Romero revealed.

Now, if Romero is in charge of this, I can just imagine how it will turn out! It would be a surprise if this wasn't some 3D Shooter MMO, but we all know how they usually succeed. Check out the full read at Computers and Videogames.
