I've seen things you wouldn't believe. Attacks ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Cleaned Up Some Stuff
I've finally found some time to go through the site and remove all the various broken features I haven't been maintaining. Most of you will probably not notice. :|
From my perspective, ORP kinda runs itself these days, but mostly I keep it up to see what happens to it, and because I know there are people actively using the Die Roller. Not sure if anything else ever gets used or looked at anymore.
It's sad, but, yes, ORP isn't what it once was. I figure if I let it sit around long enough, some Evil Wizard™ will move in and populate the place with monsters. At least we'll be able to get some treasure and XP then.

Gary Gygax, R.I.P.
More information here. For us Old School Gamers, he shaped our world and gave us a "life" in our youth. While your recent work wasn't spectacular, you will be missed.(posted by BlackFog on March 4, 2008)
Line Upgrade
(Not sure who reads these anymore, but...) On 11 March 2008, we will be transitioning to new, faster Internet service. There may be some unexpected downtime while things are moved and DNS entries are updated.(posted by BlackFog on March 4, 2008)
Site Availability
The server hosting ORP is experiencing some hardware difficulties. The site may be down at various times over the next few days to facilitate repairs.(posted by BlackFog on October 12, 2007)
Stories Archived
I've cleaned up the Storyboard a bit by removing some old, inactive stories.(posted by BlackFog on October 12, 2007)
GMs, if you want to express that the characters in your game are not speaking "English", create flavor words. Create a few unique woards that are easy to use: hello, goodbye, yes, no, attack, do it, attention, friend, insults. You can make each culture/ language unique by setting up flavor words for that culture/ language.
