Whether you are a beginner working on your first home page or a professional Webmaster, WebDesign has the features you need. Some features include: drag-and-drop tools palette; customizable toolbar; properties window; advanced find-and-replace tools; and advanced syntax coloring. You can condense text into pictures; upload and download files right from your FTP server; manage your Web site folder with the built-in file browser; visually create image maps, form controls, and other HTML elements; check HTML syntax; optimize HTML for best performance; translate Web pages into multiple languages; download Web pages directly off the Internet; create plug-ins to extend WebDesign's functionality; and create language extensions.
Version 1.2 brings support for additional Web languages including XHTML, Cascading Style Sheets, and JavaScript. All built-in HTML wizards have the ability to output HTML code or XHTML code. It also includes additional HTML tools such as those with the ability to remove unused attributes and convert HTML to XHTML. It also has an extended Plugin API and a redesigned toolbar. Additionally, new preferences options are available, and a number of bugs have been fixed in this release.
