Vuze is an online entertainment platform that allows you to watch, publish and share original DVD & HD quality video. You can discover high-quality entertainment by browsing through channels and categories containing thousands of TV shows, music videos, movies, video games and more. And if you want to publish your original content, you can monetize it the way you want and maintain complete control and flexibility.
Version 4.0 introduces a streamlined and redesigned client, improving usability and ease-of-use. Now, you can easily find subscriptions related to content in your library, in the Vuze Network, or create your own subscriptions using Vuze Search or RSS. If you use private trackers, you will find that our powerful meta-Search functionality now supports logins. We've made some major improvements to our emerging content platform, the Vuze HD Network, to make it easier for you to find videos that interest you.

- "Bloated but happy"
Formerly the feature-rich Azureus, Vuze takes Azureus' BitTorrent foundation and builds on top of it a network for video discovery and user-created video publishing tied together by social networking.
From XML torrent options to IP filters, firewall tests to UPnP plug-ins to baked-in social networking, Vuze isn't breaking new ground--the original BitTorrent client has gone this path, too--but it is doing it in an innovative and attractive way. When you install the program, you're faced with an interface that will be instantly familiar to iTunes users. In providing a general overview of their torrents and media playback controls, the new layout emphasizes user-initiated searches.
The Advanced tab has been replaced by My Library. The old Azureus is now completely gone, but because of the demands of users, Vuze 4.0 is much closer to the intent of its progenitor than Vuze 3.1 was. A simple, three-step guide that launches when you start Vuze helps you get acclimatized to the new Vuze. There's still work to be done: memory usage is up around 100MB, and although you can set up private trackers, you can't customize the search box. People new to torrenting or only interested in sharing media files might appreciate this visually active approach.

Pros: Fast downloads (but no faster than any other program) Never received any errors, never crashed.
Cons: Too many ads. There is a pop up window constantly asking you to join the community. This is not user friendly. Will monopolize your CPU if you are using an older computer.
Summary: If you are looking for an easy to use program without ads or pop ups, you will want to use something other than Vuse. If you want something that looks flashy and updates every other day, go for it. I know quite a few people who use this program, a... read more >>

"Gets the job done sweetly and it bypasses throttling."
Pros: No more of the old blue frog clunk and heft and only 20+Mbs on hdd installed. Gets by ISPs' "bandwidth management" very very well which is a definite +10.
Cons: Still requires a heck offah mucking about in the options to get both DL and UL done right. Needs the OS (Windows) max half conns to be patched outright, the options seems to be hardcoded with no way around at that.
Summary: Get this if you need extras than what µTorrent can give you OR if you live in a country with an EVIL monopolistic ISP like me.

"Great for bittorrent, but I find the rest useless"
Pros: Bittorent's download very fast.
Cons: High on resources, all the extra features are pretty rubbish.
