Barton Associates Inc. of York named Kevin Barnett a controls and commissioning agent. Previously, he was a commissioning agent and electrical designer with KCI Technologies Inc. He has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology from Penn State Harrisburg. Barton Healthcare named Ryan Smith a heating, ventilation and airconditioning designer. He is an engineer-in-training and has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from York College. His responsibilities will include design calculations and layouts, as well as the preparation of studies, reports, specifications and constructioncost estimates.
Lake Roeder Hillard & Associ- ates named Fred Van Name direc- tor and office manager of its New Holland of- fice. He has more than 25 years of experience in project management, administration and processing large- and small-scale residential, industrial and commercial developments in central and southeast Pennsylvania. He has an associate degree in applied sciences from Delaware Technical and Community College.

Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce elected Michael Shay to its board. He is president of Hauck Manufacturing Co. He also is chairman of the chamber's Manufacturers' Roundtable and a member of the government- affairs committee.

Union National Community Bank named William Warrell com- munity office manager of its Ephra- ta office. He will develop and main- tain business relationships. He has more than 10 years of banking experience. Prior to joining Union National last year, he was employed with Susquehan- na Bank. Jesse Hostetter was named an assistant vice president and community office manager of the Hempfield office. He will oversee deposit and loan products. Neil H. Snyder was named senior vice president and chief credit officer. He also will be chairman of the credit committee and a member of the executive team. He has 33 years of banking experience and will manage the bank's loan portfolio. William Duffy was named a financial adviser. He has 16 years of financial-services experience and will assist customers with investment portfolios.
Centric Bank of Susquehanna Township named Michael J. Meek vice president of commercial lending. He has more than 25 years of lending and retail-banking experience, most recently as a vice president and commercial loan officer with Inte grity B ank. A. Wim van Olden was named senior vice president, chief credit officer and compliance officer. He has more than 26 years of banking experience, most recently as a senior vice president and relationship manager with PNC Bank. He will develop and oversee the bank's loan credit policy.
York Traditions Bank named Linda Senft compliance officer. She has more than 25 years of banking and regulatory experience, most recently with Commerce Bank/Harrisburg.
Ephrata National Bank named Susan L. Murray assistant vice president and office manager of its Manheim branch. She will develop business and consumer relationships, gener- ate consumer and residential mort- gage loans and offer business serv- ices. Previously, she was a commu- nity office manager with Union National Community Bank and a branch office manager with Susquehanna Bank.

Harrisburg University of Science and Technology named Jeremy Walmer financial accounts manager.
Harrisburg Area Community College named Cynthia Donell director of nurs- ing programs with its York campus. Previously, she was employed with the nursing program at the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences. She has a bachelor's de- gree in nursing from Widener Uni- versity in Chester and a master's de- gree in nursing education from Vil- lanova University. Central Pennsylvania College of East Pennsboro Township named Edward Kraus a member of the board of trustees of the Central Pennsylvania College Education Foundation, which raises money for scholarships. He will chair the development committee that identifies and solicits donors. He is a fundraising consultant with Jerold Panas, Linzy & Associates and has more than 15 years of administration, communications, economic-development and government-relations experience. He has a bachelor's degree in organization management and business administration from Eastern University.
GOVERNMENT
Terry R. Bossert was named to the Climate Change Advisory Committee, which advises the Pennsylvania Department Environmental Protection under the Climate Change Act. He is chairman of Post & Schell's environmental regulation and litigation group and a former chief counsel with DER
HEALTH CARE
Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center named Joan L. Pitcher chief operating officer of its Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute. Her responsibilities will include enhancing clinical services, promoting education and training programs and establishing basic and clinical research. She is an oncology nurse practitioner with a master's degree in nursing from the University of Texas and a master of business administration degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. She has more than 20 years of cancer center experience, most recently as vice president of cancer services with the University of Massachusetts Memorial Healthcare System. Karen Chorney was named associate director of research administration. She will maintain and organize the institute's cancer center support grant with the National Cancer Institute, including research, clinical research studies and shared resources. Prior to joining Hershey almost 20 years ago, she had research positions with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Yale University. She has a bachelor's degree in biology from Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg, Md.
