Matthew Orford (born 22 April 1978 in Gosford, New South Wales) is an Australian professional rugby league player for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. His position of choice is at halfback. Orford previously played for the Northern Eagles and the Melbourne Storm, before joining the Sea Eagles for the 2006 NRL Season. He is currently the captain of the Sea Eagles.

Orford was a member of the Sea Eagles team which lost the 2007 NRL grand final to the Melbourne Storm.[1]

In September, 2008, Orford won the Dally M Medal, the greatest individual honour in Australian rugby league. He finished on 24 points, two points ahead of Cameron Smith.

Orford captained the Sea Eagles in the 2008 NRL Grand Final victory over the Melbourne Storm.[2]

Orford is the first player since Peter Sterling to win the Dally M Medal and win the premiership in the same year
