Hello! At your site very interesting idea, reduction of the very actually for all visitors of a site. However, a plenty of advertising on pages forces us to use other sites for reduction of the traffic. You are the first, but not the best.

Dear Alex, this service works with FireFox. You just need to use our home page to enter the address, or add "webwarper.net/ww/~av/" prefix manually (webwarper.exe utility can automate this with MSIE only).

There is no such ability now. But you can automate adding the prefix under Internet Explorer: http://webwarper.net/ww/0/wwgz/download.htm

Hi,
I made a test page with a quite improved counter including IP traces and went to surf to that page through Webwarper. You say the surf is anonymous but according to my counter it shows my IP address? So, how "anonymous" is it then?

Tour policy chage, i.e. "Anonymous posting messages in forums / guest books is not allowed." renders your service totally useless. to people who wish to remain anonymous during posting.
Just so you know, that was a valuable feature you killed off.

CD Baric: you are right, but if we allow anonymous postings, then a lot of spammers send different illegal messages via WebWarper. Unfortunately, it leads to serious problems for us: all forums fix our IP as an author of such messages.

I used this site as well as others to download from rapidshare...
WebWarper sometimes works incorrectly with sites that require complex authorization schemes. But for RapidShare there is no sense to use WebWarper: it does not optimize downloading large files.
you should make a version for firefox users
I know :) We are planning to make a plugin for FireFox in future. But we have no time for these works right now. If someone can do it for us, we'll be very glad.

Baren, you just need to view your mail without WebWarper: see "How to visit a site WITHOUT WebWarper?" Some mail systems are not compatible with WebWarper.

Dear Kyo, usually, there are no ways to install any software, including WebWarper, on your computer without your request. Maybe, you need to check your computer with antivirus?

This site use too complex logic for adding CSS: WebWarper cannot correctly process it. Maybe it will be fixed in future versions.

Hi,
In my last posting, I was saying that http://heygom.com/extensions/urlsuffix has a nice firefox extension that can be useful to use in conjunction with webwarper. We can customize the ctrl, alt, shift keys and their combinations to automatically prefix the URL of webwarper. Though the extension can be downloaded from the mozilla extensions website it is buggy,and so it is better to download it from the author's website given above as the latest version is available there which works great. This is a great firefox alternative to webwarper.exe.

Обращаюсь к Вам вот по какой причине.
Есть ли возможность смены конечного IP-адреса при посещении сайтов, через Webwarper.
Дело в том что не все понимают, что работа через Webwarper, безопасна и стараються заблокировать конечный IP-адрес.
Если есть такая возможность у создателей Webwarpera буду очень признателен.

Hello,
I used webwarper.net and find it very useful.
I have some suggestions.
When user surf Internet via webwarper.net, URL of visited page is shown in address bar of a browser - concatenated with the webwarper's script URL. For example - webwarper.net/ww/~av/job.ru/ for the site job.ru. In some cases it in not suitable: when internet provider or system administrator prihibit access for some words in URL. In my case this is the word "job" :)
I suggest encode URL of a visited page with any simple algorythm and get URL like webwarper.net/ww/~av/bhj5jhb63/

To stop a particular person accessing a website or website secure messaging section, the website owner can block the persons IP (only works for static TP) or their Mac Address (only works if they don't spoof / change their Mac Address), can a blocked person gain access using WebWarper? They can for most forums but not websites? Anyone know how else to block a particular person, as putting blocking cookies on their PC does not always work.

WebWarper Is Brilliant ! But for beginners viewing websites thru WebWaper the following error messages often popup,
"Please Note:You have not enabled Javascript on your browser. You will not be able to access this Form.
Options:
Please use your back button to return and enable Javascript on your browser using Internet options."
Its the users own security settings on IE7 not WebWarper that cause the messages. How to enable JavaScript in IE7 using IE7 help section, for many beginners it is still a mystery, any simple how to enable JavaScript comments?

Ребята, огромное спасибо за ваш сервис! У нас один провайдер - цены гнут не малые, не разгонишься. Стал пользоваться Вебварпером, прям не нарадуюсь. Экономия в разы, если не на порядок!:) Буду всем знакомым советовать!
Маленький вопрос, захожу на сайт Теле2 http://webwarper.net/ru/~s~av/www.rostov.tele2.ru/ , все хорошо... Но все ссылки на этой странице почему то открываются напрямую, без сжатия. Чтобы это значило? На других сайтах пока такого не наблюдал.

По поводу анонимности! Зачем явно публиковать для всеобщего обозрения IP участника форума (чата и т.п.) в виде подписи к его сообщениям? Неужели недостаточно присутствия IP в заголовке сообщения, который админ при желании может всегда просмотреть с помошью простого скрипта и реализовать своё право на бан?
PS. Чувствуешь себя голым в центре многолюдной толпы! А это сильно портит общее приятное впечатление от сервиса!

Насчет сайта Теле2 - извиняюсь, исправлено. На самом деле WebWarper "знает" список расширений страниц, которые он "берется" сжимать - html, htm, pl, php и прочее, но, скажем, не jpg. В сайте Теле2 использовалось расширение .aspx, которое до сих пор было "незнакомо" сервису. Я добавил его в список, и вроде бы все заработало.
Публикация IP участника форума - это защита. Наша защита. Уже был случай, когда местные правоохранительные органы "призвали нас к ответу" за чью-то публикацию на некоем форуме, администратор которого не имел желания учитывать IP из заголовка сообщения. "Крайними" оказались мы: по логам форума выходило, что опубликовано сообщение с нашего компьютера, IP которого зарегистрирован на нашу фирму. С тех пор я добавляю IP явно, чтобы он "светился" независимо от желания или нежелания администраторов форума. Хотите "чисто" публиковаться в форумах - выключайте на этот момент WebWarper. В реальности даже самые активные любители форумов тратят на публикацию своих мыслей куда меньше 1% трафика - нет никакой необходимости его экономить. 99% расходуется при чтении сайтов, а не публикации.

Сразу редирект на прямую ссылку, видимо из-за расширения (*.wbp) . Был бы очень признателен за поддержку и этого расширения...

1)Почему-то перестала работать ссылка webwarper.net/ww/~s~av/bash.org.ru/abyss (напрямую открывается нормально). Хотя раньше было все ОК!
2)На форуме Handycache ссылки вида handycache.ru/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,10/topic,337.0;all/ почему перенаправляются напрямую. В тоже время нормально обрабатываются типа handycache.ru/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,10/topic,337.260/ Разница только в отсутствии концовки (;all) - открыть все страницы темы сразу...
Можно ли что-нибудь сделать?

В догонку еще вопрос. Не открывается через Webwarper сайт http://romanmoser.ru/ Да, он уже сжат в gzip. Но для большей экономии и безопасности я всегда пользуюсь сверхплотным режимом и антивирусной защитой. До Нового Года сайт прекрасно открывался через ваш сервис. Что случилось?

Customers who try to visit my site, cannot make purchases, becuase of security issues and cookie messups that webwarper causes. As a store owner, I don't mind if they shop around the store using this... (it's adult and fun to look at) but if they can't buy when then want to.. that's a problem. How do I detect you and tell them that if they want to buy, they have to jump out of webwarper and straight into the site itself?

By the way, your system works just fine for me with window xp/ firefox. Never did I have any problems. So, after reading comments by webwarper users, I think they should return there computers or not use them. They must be really stupid. There is nothing difficult about your program. I've been using for the past 2 years.

what about images, you're not optimzing images which would make it even faster. Simply download images to a temporary cache, optomize it by lowering number of colors, then output it. Delete the temporary cache after showing the page (after php execution). Nice and simple and also maybe get it to work with youtube so it proxies the video instead of just running it directly.
